LeBron James will suit up for his 23rd NBA season, and he will do so in his latest signature shoe, the LeBron 23. As we can expect various color options to be released, one of the upcoming pairs is the “40K Gold” Nike LeBron 23. The shoes celebrate James being the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.

We first saw this colorway on LeBron’s feet during an offseason workout. This theme follows previous colorways that he has given us a first look at.

Looking closer at this Nike LeBron 23, it features ornate patterns on the upper and a shiny makeover. The mudguard, which connects to the midsole, is shaped like LeBron’s crown logo, featuring perforations and iridescent detailing. What’s unique about this pair is the heels, which display “40K+,” resembling vintage currency lettering. LeBron’s signature appears on the tongue, and a small crown is stamped onto the medial side. The outsole design, done in Black, resembles the number 23. Lastly, each pair comes with unique packaging that features iridescent detailing and includes a special booklet detailing LeBron’s journey.
