Nike Basketball will soon roll out Kevin Durant’s seventh signature shoe, the KD 17. As the Phoenix Suns All-Star is battling to ensure a higher spot in the playoffs, he will be wearing his shoe in the post-season. We have previewed a few color options, and one of those being released is the “Penny” Nike KD 17. The shoes are a tribute to Penny Hardaway and come dressed in the classic Orlando Magic color scheme.
This Nike KD 17 is dressed in a White, Black, and Game Royal color scheme. While Penny Hardaway inspires the colorway, the silhouette, with its TPU overlays on the upper, pays homage to the Air Max Plus. Highlighted with White on the base and leather on the heels, the overlays start in Black and gradients to Blue. The same squiggly lines seen on the Penny line are placed within the Swoosh logos, and perforations for breathability appear on the lateral side. His KD logo lands on the tongues and forefoot with Zoom cushioning. Repeated branding is placed above the White midsole, while a Light Blue rubber outsole completes the look.
