Nike Covers a “Moon Particle” Dunk Low in Mixed Materials

Nike has gone above and beyond with the Dunk Low over the last five years, releasing plenty of exciting new takes on the classic. This week, another excellent iteration has surfaced, mixing a ton of different materials with a clean “Moon Particle” color scheme.

The Dunk Low is easily a top ten sneaker from Nike in the brand’s 50+ year history. Originally introduced in 1985 as an all-leather basketball shoe, the model was phased out of performance by the ’90s, and transitioned completely to a lifestyle shoe by the 2000s. In the 2010s, the Dunk became something of a cult icon, released sparingly by the Swoosh to protect the shoe’s identity as a classic without flooding the market. In 2020, that changed, and Nike opened the floodgates, releasing hundreds of new and retro styles over the last five years.

Despite so many iterations of the shoe available, Nike manages to keep things fresh with excellent new color schemes, like this “Moon Particle” edition coming soon. This pair features a canvas underlay with leather overlays, both case in the light grey Moon Particle shade. The heel panel comes in a tan canvas, matching the tan woven tongue pieces. Inner linings and tongue branding come in a dark brick red shade, while Dark Raisin purple suede Swooshes complete the look.
