Nike Basketball is bringing back three familiar names for its upcoming performance lineup. Force, Flight, and Uptempo have a long history with the brand, dating back to the late 1980s and early 1990s. Each category was originally designed for a different type of player. Force focused on power and support, Flight catered to explosive athletes, while Uptempo offered a combination of performance and style. Now, all three return under the Greater Than series.
Nike G.T. Flight
Starting with the G.T. Flight, this model is designed for players who rely on jumping and explosive movements. AJ Dybantsa has already been spotted wearing the unreleased pair. The shoe features a molded TPU cage that wraps around the upper and connects to the lacing system.

Underneath is a textile bootie for a secure fit. As for the technology, the G.T. Flight comes equipped with a full-length Zoom Strobel unit and Cushlon 3.0 foam. This combination provides cushioning and impact protection for players who spend plenty of time in the air.
Nike G.T. Force
Next up is the G.T. Force, which focuses on strength and stability. Unlike the Flight, this model will be available in both high-top and low-top versions. The upper features reinforced synthetic materials, while the overall construction provides additional support during hard cuts and changes of direction. Underfoot, Nike uses ZoomX 3.0 foam for responsive cushioning and energy return. A TPU window and shank plate add stability, helping keep the foot supported during movement.

Nike G.T. Uptempo
Lastly, we have the G.T. Uptempo, which is designed for speed. Dylan Harper has already debuted the model with the San Antonio Spurs. The shoe features an engineered mesh upper with a grid-like pattern, giving it a lightweight construction. For cushioning, Nike combines ZoomX 3.0 foam with an Air Zoom Strobel unit and an additional Air Zoom unit in the heel. A TPU window and shank plate provide added structure, while the outsole is designed to support quick movements and changes of direction.

Nike Basketball is also using its signature athletes to highlight the purpose behind each model in the new G.T. lineup. LeBron James and Ja Morant are connected to the G.T. Flight, which focuses on explosive movement and attacking the basket.
A’ja Wilson and Giannis Antetokounmpo represent the G.T. Force, a build centered around strength and stability. Meanwhile, Devin Booker, Caitlin Clark, Kevin Durant, and Sabrina Ionescu are associated with the G.T. Uptempo, which is designed for players who rely on speed and quick movement to create opportunities on the court.
