The Air Diamond Turf 2 originally debuted in 1994 during Sanders’ time with the San Francisco 49ers. The model followed the original Air Diamond Turf from 1993 and carried over several of the design ideas from the first shoe. Its oversized midfoot strap became one of the defining features of the Diamond Turf line, giving Sanders additional lockdown during his time as a two-sport athlete.
For 2026, the “White/Black” Nike Air Diamond Turf 2 uses a mix of smooth and tumbled White leather across the upper. Black appears underneath the cutout panels, around the tongue, inside the shoe, and along the outsole. The large midfoot strap remains in place with a small Swoosh, while Metallic Silver is also listed as part of the official color scheme.
The branding differs from that of previous Air Diamond Turf 2 releases.
