The Teddy Santis helmed New Balance MADE in USA continues to produce quality examples of the 998, with the latest, a classic "Navy" blue colorway.Reintroduced to the MADE in USA line by Santis and team this year, its 30th year anniversary, the 998 holds some historical signficance to the brand, as it was notably the first to utilize ABZORB technology.While not visible in the photos provided, it is assumed that the "MADE IN USA" branding on the tongue of the shoe, which is expressed in a premium pebble grey leather, is covered by the bright white laces. That same grey pebble leather can be found accenting the shoe at the heel, where a white "NB" logo is stitched, at the lateral side of the shoe, and upper section of the toe box.A majority of the shoe is drapped in classic "Navy" suede panels, with navy blue mesh at the toe box and collar of the shoe.
