Mr. Bailey's Friends and Family adidas Originals “OZLUCENT” Heads to Auction

London-based independent artist Mr. Bailey continues to deliver outlandish footwear creations that speak for themselves. Known for his innovative and thought-provoking designs, Mr. Bailey is building his own world and invites us to take part. Mr. Bailey collaborated with adidas in 2021 and released an ultra-modern "Ammonite Superstar" inspired by extinct mollusks last year. He is closing 2023 by sending a friends and family pair to the auction block, arriving at Sotheby's with an estimated sales price of $2,000 USD. The MRBAILEY x adidas Originals "OZLUCENT" was first teased last summer and is delivered inside an exclusive sugarcane cement box with collaborative debossed branding. Once opened, you'll find a sealed mushroom-made bag containing the high-top kicks. The blacked-out model features expandable fabric collars and hardened exterior panels stimulated by underwater species. Diverse pebble-shaped gaps reveal textiles beneath, while platformed sole units receive curved edges and artistic indentations. With only 60 pairs in existence, it is the first time the shoe will be available for public purchase.
