Kith Debuts Salomon’s new XT-Evo With a Two Color Drop This Week

Just yesterday we had an early look at Salomon’s latest new model, the XT-Evo, citing one leaked style as a Kith collaboration. Today, Kith has confirmed their release, unveiling two pairs of the runner for a release this week.

French outdoor brand Salomon is gearing up to introduce a brand new silhouette to their SportStyle lineup this season, and they’ve tapped Kith to help debut the model once again. The XT-Evo first crossed my timeline last week, before reappearing yesterday with more concrete information attached. Several in-line colors of the Evo have already popped up overseas, detailed in my post yesterday about the upcoming runner. This morning, Kith confirmed the speculation from @ChefDoomy about a collaboration formally debuting the model, showing off their two colors of the trail runner.

While little is known about the XT-Evo’s materials and tech inside, we can make a fairly accurate inference based on the shoe’s appearance. The Evo is built on top of the XT platform popularizes by the XT-6 runner, Salomon’s most sought-after model since their rise to fame in the sneaker world a few years ago. The upper features an engineered mesh underlay, adding molded TPU shells for the side walls and toes. The shell comes in two parts, a grid section that allows air to flow through, and raised, swooping lines extending from the heels to the toes. Kith has prepared two colors for the model’s debut, both landing this week. The first mixes the primary color palette with a black base, coloring the molded shell in yellow, with a red sole accent and blue inner lining. The second pair is more subtle, with shades of brown and olive green for the upper, and the lining and sole accent in regal purple.

Kith is once again the first official partner to release pairs of Salomon’s latest model, now the XT-Evo. The NYC-based retailer has two pairs landing later this week, on August 7th, 2026. One colorway comes in a primary palette of yellow, red, and blue over a black base, while the second is more neutral, sporting shades of brown and olive with purple accents. Exact details for these pairs have not been shared yet, but pricing for the new silhouette is expected to be about $225, and Kith’s pairs will carry the same price tag.
