Jordan Brand Unveils the Jordan Zion 3

Jordan Brand’s design philosophy is focused on capturing both motion and emotion equally. Each player in the signature lineup has a unique playing style that evokes a specific feeling in the audience.

The Jordan Zion 3 showcases this design philosophy by catering to Zion Williamson’s explosive playing style. It offers crucial support in three areas: containment, court feel, and impact protection enabling Zion to fully utilize his power and agility on the court without any limitations.

Specifically designed to support Zion’s explosive basketball game. The midsole cushioning is engineered with Formula 23 foam and a Zoom Air unit in the forefoot to absorb the forces of his movements and provide responsive cushioning. The drop-in midsole is customized for maximum comfort and stability, with the lowest stack height yet on a Zion signature shoe. This allows players to have the necessary cushioning while feeling in complete control of their movements, including a tight spin off the low block. It’s evident that the shoe is perfectly suited to Zion’s unique needs and playing style.

The shoe’s rubber herringbone traction pattern provides superior quickness and control for players, while the raised TPU material of the “Z” icon on the shoe ensures unmatched lateral containment. This design element has remained consistent throughout Zion’s signature line and is brought to life with a unique and innovative raised texture.

Zion Williamson’s latest Jordan Brand footwear is a testament to his journey from Marion, South Carolina, to the NBA. The shoe design features a unique color splatter pattern on the upper portion of the shoe, created using 3D imaging of Zion’s foot moving through mud. This pattern represents Zion’s determination and hard work. The shoe is also reinforced in specific regions to provide extra support for lateral movements, allowing Zion to showcase his impressive strength and agility on the basketball court.

“This is crazy. It still doesn’t feel real that I have a signature shoe, and here we are with Jordan Brand on my third one,” said Williamson. “The Zion 3 not only tells my story of making it out the mud, but it is one that I believe many basketball players out there will like because of its low-to-the-ground feel and incredible cushioning.”

You can expect the Jordan Zion 3 to release in full family sizing during September in the ‘Sanctuary’ colorway. More colorways will release throughout the year and in 2024. The retail price is $140.
