As Kobe Brand has truly hit its stride mid-decade, filling out the shelves with a range of Protro models and finding additional lifestyle silhouettes to add into the mix, we’ve gotten accustomed to seeing full-blown collections from the basketball sub-category. The “Mamba Eternos” marked the latest, ringing in Día de los Muertos with the Kobe 3 Low, Kobe AD, and Nike Dunk Low. As we begin to pull the tinsel out of the attic, so too is Bryant’s imprint, prepping a comprehensive “Coals” celebration that includes the Nike Kobe AD Protro.

Of course, the Nike Kobe 6 “Coals” remains the grand prize for hoopers this Christmas, but if the venomous green/purple colorway speaks to you, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to work it into your wardrobe.
