“Dark Smoke Grey” Takes Over The Nike Air More Uptempo

The Nike Air More Uptempo has undertaken a fair amount of polarizing revisions throughout 2023, from the silhouette’s Slide-inspired counterpart to Yoon Ahn’s AMBUSH collaborations. Echoing streetwear sensibility for nearly three decades, the Scottie Pippen-endorsed silhouette recently surfaced as a part of the Beaverton brand’s growing “Dark Smoke Grey” collection.

Joining the Nike Dunk Low and Air Max CB ’94, the circa 1996 model extends a pitch-dark palette synonymous with the burgeoning roster of footwear. Cured exclusively in a winterized nubuck leather textile, the upper real estate and midsole are treated to a near-clad execution of the collection’s dark grey hue. Despite gloomy color matches overtaking the tongue, laces and inner lining, the upper is seldom illuminated through a “Barely Green” tint that accents the exaggerated lettering of the sidewalls before consuming the tread underfoot.

The Nike Air More Uptempo “Dark Smoke Grey” hasn’t YET received a release date. In the meantime, the pair can be seen in detailed imagery ahead of its expected 2024 debut.

In other news from the Beaverton brand, the Kobe 8 “Mambacita” recently surfaced in first-look images.
