Introducing the latest collaboration from Concepts and Vault by Vans, the “Smoke and Mirrors” pack. This exciting collection includes two iconic models, the OG SK8-Hi LX and OG Old Skool LX.

The phrase ‘it’s all smoke and mirrors’ has a fascinating origin in the world of stage performances. Magicians and illusionists used smoke and mirrors to captivate their audiences, diverting attention and creating illusions that sparked imagination. Today, this phrase is synonymous with things that are deceptive, elusive, or cleverly crafted to mislead. In this remarkable partnership, Concepts x Vault by Vans takes a literal approach, drawing inspiration from the very essence of smoke and mirrors. They incorporate elements like suede, sublimated canvas, and reflective highlights to symbolize the mirror’s reflective quality.

Concepts and Vans have a history of successful collaborations, with more than 15 projects under their belt. One of their standout creations is the ‘Rat Hunter’ Syndicate Old Skool, paying homage to The Rathskeller, a renowned New England venue that hosted legendary bands like Bad Brains and The Ramones. Another remarkable release was the “Forty Deuce” Old Skool sneaker, drawing inspiration from the gritty 42nd Street of 1970s New York City. More recently, they unleashed the Mohair Pack, showcasing the material popularized by Vivienne Westwood in the mid-70s and embraced by punk rock legends of the 90s.
