Casablanca's Atlantis Sneaker Receives a Patent Leather Makeover for SS23

Parisian label Casablanca is preparing the third drop of its Atlantis sneaker. The design debuted in 2022 and has since arrived in five vibrant colorways. For Spring/Summer 2023, Casablanca is giving its inaugural sneaker a patent leather makeover in three summer-ready hues. Designed by Charaf Tajer and Steve Grimes, the Atlantis makes a statement through sporty design and dramatic curved midsoles. They communicate Casablanca's evolving blueprint, inspired by the lost underwater island. Maintaining its architectural form, the sneaker is clad in "Haute Red," "Midnight Navy," and "Powder Blue." The designs first appeared on Casablanca's SS23 runway in Paris, featuring perforated leather uppers, suede lacing systems, and glossy leather toe box and heel overlays. The brand's interlocked emblem is rubberized at the rear, while branded windows adorn the medials. Liquified outsoles complete the design with a sculptural identity atop wavy rubber bottoms. Take a closer look at the new colorways above. All three pairs will be available via Casablanca and select retailers on May 23 for €250 EUR (approximately $270 USD).
