Brain Dead and adidas are back with a new assortment of footwear this month. The LA-based brand is taking on the Taekwando and ClimCool 2 models for this release, delivering a unique new style for all three pairs involved.

Brain Dead’s collaboration with adidas is rooted in shared experimentation, blending performance heritage with subcultural storytelling. Since their first partnership, the duo has reworked classics like the Stan Smith, Forum, and Forest Hills through Brain Dead’s eclectic lens—bold graphics, mixed materials, and hand-drawn motifs that nod to punk, art, and underground communities. adidas provides archival silhouettes and technical credibility, while Brain Dead injects irreverence and narrative.

This week, Brain Dead finally unveiled release details for their latest project with the Three Stripes, a small collection of sneakers that were originally teased over the Summer. The release features three pairs in total, two style of the Taekwando and one pair of the ClimaCool 2 runner. The Taekwandos are not only separated by colorways, but by construction and inspiration. The first look, in a metallic silver build, incorporates elements of the adidas MicroPacer, a 1984 running shoe with a pedometer built into the tongues. the second style comes in black leather with a look inspired by adidas’ vintage soccer boots. The ClimaCool is much louder, featuring a dual-layer mesh construction in green and black, adding metallic silver overlays and a yellow accent for a bit of flourish.

BRAIN DEAD X ADIDAS WINTER 2025 RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest collection from LA-based brand Brain Dead and adidas has been scheduled to release this week, on December 18th, 2025. The project features three sneakers in total, including two unique styles of the Taekwando as well as bold colorway of the ClimaCool 2 runner. Pairs will be available from both partners, with prices ranging from $140 to $180.
