Awake New York rose to the occasion when it was tapped for the Jumpman’s monumental celebration of the Air Jordan 5. Their Racer Pink had a near-chokehold on New York City and beyond with the captivating shade, while the black leather with blue contrast stitching easily amounted to the hit of the summer. That project really stamped the NYC-based label into that upper echelon, and now they’ve got their sights set on the Air Jordan 6 as Angelo Baque stirs the pot once again with a first look at his third shoe with Jordan Brand.

Officially revealed as part of the label’s SS26 lookbook, the Awake Air Jordan 6 has been revealed with perhaps the most daring take on color-blocking in the silhouette’s history. Three distinct shades of blue are placed on the quarter overlay, base, and heel, while a punchy crimson red contrasts via the visible stitching that lines the model’s signature shape; it matches the lace-lock and the Jumpman branding on the tongue lace-stays and Nike Air at the heel. Blasts of speckling appear on the midsole, while the tongue is built with a milky translucent rubber.

What made the Awake Jordan 5s such a buzz-worthy hit was their creative method of infusing their A logo onto the window netting of the upper. Here, the emblem is either etched or stitched smack dab in the middle of the upper.
