ASICS SportStyle and 8ON8 Unveil the GEL-SAFARI M Collaboration
ASICS SportStyle has teamed up with Chinese designer brand 8ON8 on a new collaboration centered on the GEL-SAFARI M. Accompanied by a Head-to-Toe (H2T) collection spanning footwear, apparel, and accessories, the release brings the style codes and design thinking of golf culture into everyday urban life. From the shoes to the clothing, the collection is united by a cohesive visual language, layering low-saturation shades of bamboo green, lavender purple, deep olive, and cream white while reimagining golf-inspired silhouettes for contemporary daily wear. At the heart of the collection, the GEL-SAFARI M carries forward the design language of the ASICS archive, pairing it with 8ON8’s ongoing exploration of retrofuturism to give a classic silhouette a fresh visual expression.The shoe retains the GEL-SAFARI M’s lightweight outdoor DNA, naturally extending it to settings such as golf greens and rolling terrain. It features the outsole of the classic ASICS trail-running shoe FUJI LITE 2, along with an FF BLAST midsole and ASICSGRIP outsole, balancing underfoot comfort with stable traction for a smoother, more comfortable transition between different parts of everyday life. Beyond footwear, the collaboration also includes a long-sleeve polo, long-sleeve T-shirt, 2-in-1 skirt, pants, and hats.
