When it comes to iconic shoes, the Air Jordan 1 is at the top of the list. Originally released in 1985, multiple colorways also dropped in 1986. While most of us know the classic colorways, there was a ‘Metallic’ series produced that some overlook, but not the true sneakerheads. One of those is the “Metallic Burgundy” iteration that was initially released in 1985. 39 years later, in 2024, we will see the Air Jordan 1 High 85 “Metallic Burgundy” return to retailers.
This will be the first time that the “Metallic Burgundy” Air Jordan 1 returns. Also known as ‘Maroon’ or “Dark Red,” the shoes use a slightly darker Red compared to the “Metallic Red” iteration.
This Air Jordan 1 High 85 comes dressed in a White and Team Red color combination. We were told by our sources that the infamous color blocking will return in 2024. Since it will be the High 85, it will be the closest to the original to date. Utilizing White leather throughout, the same shade also appears on the laces and midsole. Highlighting the shoes is Metallic Burgundy on the Swoosh logos, collar, and Wings. Finishing the look is Burgundy Nike Air branding on the tongue and rubber outsole.

You can expect the Air Jordan 1 High 85 “Metallic Burgundy” to release at select retailers and Nike.com on February 16th, 2024. The retail price is $200.
