adidas Unveils Samba OG in "Cardboard" Colorway

After revealing a Dover Street Market Samba at Felix Art Fair in Los Angeles earlier this month, adidas has returned to uncover the latest addition to its Samba OG lineup: a "Cardboard" colorway that features referential tones of "Chalk White" and "Brown Desert."The silhouette's three leather stripes adopt the former hue, as does the back leather collar. The breathable woven mesh upper, meanwhile, employs the latter brown color, which also takes over the suede components, the midsole and the outsole. White laces run down the center of the design; and like previous models, adidas' classic iconography is planted on the center of the leather tongue.Built for the football field and inspired by adidas' '70s leisure archive, the notable sneaker has earned a prominent place in streetwear thanks to its casual and versatile facade. The German sportswear brand frequently lends out the silhouette for collaboration. In recent months, the brand has teamed up with the likes of JJJJound, Wales Bonner, Sporty & Rich, Humanrace, Jason Dill and Disney for joint versions of the shoe.The adidas Samba OG "Cardboard" will launch online and at select adidas Originals retailers for $120 USD on Monday, April 1, at 10 a.m. ET.
