adidas Handball Spezial “Federation Pack” Celebrates The 2026 FIFA World Cup

It’s not a stretch to call the 2026 FIFA World Cup one of the biggest sporting events ever. We’re talking 48 teams, 102 matches, and for the first time ever, three host countries. That sets the stage for a massive moment for adidas, the longtime ruler of the pitch, creator of the official World Cup match ball for over five decades, and outfitter for 14 of this year’s participants, more than any other brand.

But it doesn’t stop at the kits. For the hordes of terrace regulars ready to live and die with their squads this summer, adidas has also assembled an extensive lineup of lifestyle footwear to match. That includes the Handball Spezial, one of the brand’s most popular silhouettes alongside the Samba and Gazelle. Argentina As the home country of longtime adidas athlete Lionel Messi, Argentina holds special significance for the Three Stripes. Fans are treated to a Core Black suede colorway featuring Core White stripes and hits of the nation’s signature baby blue on the branding and laces.

Colombia Colombia’s home kit features the country’s traditional mix of yellow, blue, and red. The away kit, meanwhile, goes in a different direction, featuring a teal blue base with bright neon pops inspired by the country’s biodiversity and its position between the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean. Such is the inspiration behind this Handball Spezial colorway.

Mexico As one of three North American countries hosting World Cup matches, Mexico is a key focus for adidas this year. This style keeps things relatively understated, pairing Aurora Ivy and Better Scarlet stripes with a Cloud White suede base.

Chile Chile’s colorway takes cues from the country’s away kit, featuring a Brown and Purple Burst palette inspired by the vibrant wildflowers of the Atacama Desert. Neutral off-white leather appears on the stripes and backtab, while a classic brown gum outsole anchors the look underfoot.

Germany The Germany Handball Spezial could have easily leaned into the country’s flag with black, red, and yellow accents, but why play it safe? The sneaker instead draws from the country’s away kit, arriving in an easygoing mix of Collegiate Navy and Cloud White. Sehr gut.

Belgium Belgium’s pair is arguably one of the strongest in the lineup, featuring pastel pink and blue accents that play exceptionally well against a black base.

Sweden Less is more for the Sweden Handball Spezial, featuring a monochromatic Royal Blue upper set atop a brown gum sole. Quiet yet confident, much like the Swedes themselves.

Italy The Italy colorway reads almost like a GR, though that’s far from a drawback. Blue leather stripes land over a grey suede upper, complemented by gold branding for a subtle touch of Italian luxury.
