Following a careful rollout led by a Fragment Design collaboration and the frog-inspired “Green Apple” colorway, the Nike Air Liquid Max appears ready to spread its wings with new styles.

Nike has previously touted the Air Liquid Max’s textured nanoprint upper as a key design feature, but this iteration introduces an all-new scheme up top. Wavy line not unlike those on Joy Division’s “Unknown Pleasures” album cover, wrap the sides. bending around chrome Swooshes at the quarter. The same linework carries onto the tongue, while a Dark Army midsole and orange Air bubbles create a rugged, outdoorsy contrast underfoot.
