Update (2/6/26): Official photos have arrived of the V.A.A. x Air Jordan 1 High OG. The shoes will debut via boutiques on April 3rd.
Jordan Brand continues celebrating the 40th anniversary of the line’s launch with another special Anniversary release. For the Spring 2026 season, Off-White will collaborate with the brand again on the Air Jordan 1. The pair arriving at retailers is dubbed “Alaska,” which is expected to be a re-release of the “Euro,” aka “White,” iteration.
First launched in 2017, Virgil Abloh made waves in the sneaker community by dropping “The Ten” collection. This colorway was launched outside the initial ten pairs and was available exclusively in Europe.
The Alaska nickname could have two meanings. Since the shoes are predominantly White, the pair could be inspired by all the snow in Alaska. However, in 2017, Virgil Abloh founded “Alaska Alaska,” a research-based design and creative service studio to which this pair could be a tribute.
This Air Jordan 1 is different compared to the 2017 pair. Instead of the Off-White branding on the medial side, we have “V.A.A.,” which stands for Virgil Abloh Archive. This means that the shoes won’t be a collaboration with Off-White, but Virgil Abloh’s estate.

The “Alaska” Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High OG is set to debut during the Spring 2026. Inspired by the “Euro” or “White” color blocking, this highly anticipated release will retail for $230.
Bottom Line
I am happy that this will be a collaboration with Virgil Abloh, instead of Off-White. I think this gives the pair more meaning and is a great tribute since his passing. Although I would prefer a different colorway, it does make sense that the “Alaska” pair debuts. It’s initial drop, known as “Euro” was a European exclusive. This time, it will be available globally, but sadly it will still be a limited drop.

Additional photos have arrived of the Virgil Abloh Archive x Air Jordan 1 and the packaging. The release could get delayed, but for now its expected to launch on April 3rd. Also, I have heard the pair is limited to roughly 20,000 pairs.

Images of the packaging for the Virgil Abloh Archive x Air Jordan 1 High OG have leaked. The box features a unique design. Resembling the original Air Jordan 1 box, it features circular cutouts throughout, opens from the side, and a slide-out translucent case houses the sneakers. Furthermore, it comes with VAA and Jumpman logos. Each pair comes with a sketch book with the phrase, “MODERNISM IS NOT NEW” on the cover. Currently scheduled to launch on March 28, 2026, for $230 USD.

New photos of the Virgil Abloh Archive x Air Jordan 1 “Alaska” have leaked. Although the pair resembles the 2018 “Euro” iteration, the medial side reads “V.A.A. for Nike,” signifying this won’t be a collaboration with Off-White.

Hiroshi Fujiwara has unveiled the Air Jordan 1 “Alaska.” Shared via the “Virgil Abloh: The Codes” exhibition in Paris. The shoes feature “V.A.A. for NIKE” branding on the panels, instead of “Off-White.” This means that the collaboration won’t be tied to Off-White but connected to the Virgil Abloh Archive estate. A release is scheduled for Spring 2026.

Initially expected to launch during the Holiday 2025 season, the “Alaska” Off-White x Air Jordan 1 has been delayed. According to brandon1an, the pair is expected to launch in 2026.
