Come Spring/Summer 2027, we’ll almost assuredly have the New Balance 990v7 as an addition to the Made in USA roster, delivering the long-awaited next step in the 99x lineage. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Much as we’re excited for Teddy Santis and the New Balance design team as a whole to have a new toy to mess around with, there’s still plenty of business to settle with the Fall/Winter 2026 slate.
Following the initial 990v4/993 pastel pairing and a standalone version of the New Balance 1300, the Made in USA collection launches two pairs of the New Balance 990v4 for “Drop 3.” While they deliver a new chapter in the everlasting battle between blue and red, there are slight blocking differences between the two, as this “Monarch Burgundy” version demonstrates. It’s easily the more simplistic of the duo, utilizing a comprehensive feiry upper paired with a season-ready gum sole underfoot.
As mentioned in our headline, New Balance 990v4 “Monarch Burgundy” drops on September 24th alongside the “NB Navy.” A retail price of $195 is confirmed.
