As the New England institution continues to reimagine its retro runner on its own and via collaborations, it’s experimenting with the model’s very DNA. The reworked offering already has a collaboration lined up with INVINCIBLE and N.HOOLYWOOD, two Asian labels that’ve brought understated, but compelling makeovers to several New Balance footwear products before.

For its own inaugural looks, the NB 1906U has taken on two eye-catching styles. One offering favors a combination of pastel colors appropriate of spring, while the second unreleased option favors a familiar grayscale arrangement contrasted with electrifying yellow.
