Throughout over 40 years the Nike Air Force 1 continues to find compelling ways to meet wearers at the roadblock between weather and clean kicks. Most typically accompanied by Gore-Tex tooling, the Bruce Kilgore design leans into its clad-leather allure with a waterproof ensemble devoid of any stitching.

Insulated from the rain via a full-grain leather upper, the forefoot’s synonymous perforations – much like its seams – have been glazed over to preserve a dry stride. The mid-foot Swoosh and branded embellishments ascertaining the tongue and heel tabs achieve an embossed finish so as not to add to the pair’s potential wear while a layer of ripstop imbues an added layer of protection for the tongue. Picking an equally defensive color scheme against the elements as its construction, the entirety of the model is cured in the meme-ready “Triple-Black” composition that leaves zero room for a complimentary contrast.
