PACE x Asics GEL-Kayano 12.1 Releases This Week

Brazilian fashion label PACE is back this season with another sneaker release, reuniting with Asics for their sophomore collaboration. The GEL-Kayano 12.1 is the focus for this project, dressing the mode in some unique textiles and a smooth cream white build, dropping this week.

PACE was founded in 2017 by Felipe Matayoshi in São Paulo, following a few years of dabbling semi-professionally in fashion and sneakers. In the nine years since its founding, the brand has grown from a sneaker and accessories label into a full lifestyle brand, complete with a flagship store and café in São Paulo. Matayoshi is a Brazilian-Japanese creative, and that dual heritage sits at the heart of everything PACE does, marrying modern aesthetics with heritage techniques and classic style. Naturally, PACE found a footwear partner in Asics, the historic Japanese running brand, with the two issuing their first collaboration, a GEL-Quantum VII, back in 2023.

This week, PACE has unveiled their sophomore release with Asics, revisiting the GEL series for another contribution to the modern sneaker landscape. This time around, the GEL-Kayano 12.1 is the canvas for a stunning new style, pitting the silhouette in a smooth “Cream” white palette. This pair features a number of different textiles applications, which begins with a clear mesh base layer. The mesh is decorated with a series of oval spots in white, which lead into the white leather overlays, presented in both smooth and snakeskin textured finishes. Black accents add a bit of depth to the color palette, while just a splash of red completes the look.

The new release from Brazilian brand PACE and Asics has been scheduled to arrive this week, on March 6th, 2026. Featuring the GEL-Kayano 12.1 for their sophomore collaborations, the silhouette comes in a smooth “Cream” white build with black accents. Pairs will be available from both PACE and worldwide retailers on the same day, for $200.
