Last year Nike introduced a new model into their lineup of Kobe-themed releases, the Air Force 1. This particular version applies a snakeskin texture to the upper for the Mamba variant, which has surfaced in an “Electric Green” look this week.
The Nike Air Force 1 has been synonymous with Kobe Bryant since the early 2000s, during the Mamba’s sneaker free agency period after leaving adidas. During the 2002-2003 season, Kobe wore custom pairs of the Air Force 1 Mid, dressed in Lakers colors. Last year, the Swoosh introduced a new Kobe edition of their AF1, bringing his signature logo to the iconic model, and applying a snakeskin pattern across the upper. Pairs have landed in a number of colorways so far, with new styles lined up for release this Summer. One of the new colorways for the Air Force 1 Kobe we’ve seen this week brings a high-contrast look to the silhouette. The shoe’s snakeskin upper comes in a soft Vast Grey color, with a matching tongue. Color is added through the inner lining and outsoles, with an Electric Green tone giving this pair a hi-vis edge.

The next release of an Air Force 1 bearing Kobe Bryant’s branding has not been officially announced yet, but pairs are expected to hit shelves on August 1st, 2026. This new look comes in “Vast Grey” for the snakeskin patterned upper, adding Electric Green accents for the inner lining and outsoles. Pairs of this special release will be available through both Nike and select retailers for $120.
