Jalen Brunson Debuts Another Nike Kobe 6 PE in “Sunrise”

Jalen Brunson is shaping up to be one of Nike Basketball’s frontmen when it comes to debuting new Kobe products. This week, the Knicks’ star guard stepped on court in a new “Sunrise” Kobe 6 Protro, though they are reportedly a true player exclusive pair (for now…).

The New York Knicks star point guard, Jalen Brunson, has been on a roll this season. While he is averaging almost 28 points per game, we are more focused on what sneaker he’s been wearing on the court over the last few months. Brunson has been wearing a lot of Nike Kobe sneakers, specifically the Kobe 6 Protro. Since Kobe’s retirement and then passing in 2020, the Nike Basketball team has rotated through a handful of superstar players to debut new Kobe product, as well as rocking a ton of player-exclusive models. Brunson has taken on that role this season.

The first player-exclusive release we saw Jalen wear debuted back in October. The special-edition Kobe 6 colorway pays homage to New York’s Statue of Liberty, dressing the model in Lady Liberty’s signature shade of rusted copper teal, with more true copper accents to complete the look. At the time, that model was said to be a PE, but shortly afterward it got listed for a public release from Nike (coming net week!). Now, Brunson is saying that his latest PE, the beautiful “Sunrise” pair seen here, will not get a public release. We hope Nike gives us a shot at them, because the mix of blue tones with pale yellow and orange shades are just too good to pass up.
