For five decades FILA has procured a culturally significant impact within the world of tennis. Celebrating its 50th year outfitting the sport’s most profound athletes from Bjorn Borg to Ash Barty, the brand will be embarking on a full range of festivities in 2023, headlined by their new performance shoe – the FILA Mondo Forza.

Tooled with the aggressive baseliner in mind, the inaugural silhouette packages a compelling mix of flexibility, speed and cushioning for an array of court conditions. The lightweight mesh upper constructs a sock-like fit for easy entry while structured leather panels reinforce the mid-foot along the lateral and medial side.

The evolution of the modern game has seen athletes favor sliding into their shots no matter the court surface. In response, the brand’s Futura Innovation Team has developed an all-new traction pattern boasting a split-surface solution that optimizes the transition back into the lines of play. A blend of sugarcane and recycled materials composes the cushioning system below, coupled with a wood-based mid-stance plate that injects stability and responsiveness underfoot.

The FILA Mondo Forza will be released in two initial colorways in both men’s and women’s sizing for a retail price of $160 at FILA.com and at the US Open. In the meantime, the silhouette can be seen in detailed imagery below.
