The Nike Terminator has quietly returned in the last few months, releasing in a handful of colorways with several more on the way. This week, we got an early look at a work boot-inspired ‘Triple Black’ pair, coming soon.

Nike’s Terminator silhouette has taken a backseat to the legendary Air Jordan 1 since their tandem releases in 1985. However, the Terminator has remained a cult classic over the years, beloved by sneakerheads that cherish the early Nike Basketball days. Now rereleasing in a true-to-the-original remaster, the Terminator High has seen a number of simple colorways release so far. This week, a fresh special-edition look has surfaced online inspired by classic work boots. Cast in a ‘Triple Black’ color scheme, the look features a nylon base layer with shaggy suede overlays on top. The upper eyelets feature metal hooks, a detail pulled directly from vintage boots, and matching rope laces.

Nike’s upcoming work boot-inspired take on the Terminator High has not been announced for release, though they are expected to drop sometime in Spring 2023. The ‘Triple Black’ take on the retro model will likely be available via the SNKRS app and select retailers, with the usual price tag of $150.
